Exxon Aviation Oil 100, 120

DISCONTINUED PRODUCT

These two grades of non-dispersant mineral oil-based lubricants are used in piston engines of commercial, military and private aircraft. They contain very low concentrations of anti-oxidant, anti-foam and pour point depressant. Aviation Oil has earned a reputation for inherent high-temperature stability and clean operation, which has made it the first choice for many leading military and commercial engine builders.

Product Specifications:

U.S. Military approved against SAE J1966, which replaced MIL-L-6082E. Appropriate viscosity grades are approved for Pratt & Whitney (Spec. No. 1183), Teledyne Continental Motors (MHS-24), and Textron Lycoming (Spec. No. 301F) engines.

Exxon Aviation Oil EE 100, EE 120

DISCONTINUED PRODUCT.

These oils are premium quality ashless-dispersant piston engines oils formulated from select highly refined base oils together with ashless-dispersant and antioxidant additives. Solid contaminants remain suspended in the oil and are not allowed to accumulate as sludge or deposits on engine surfaces. The suspended contaminants are non-abrasive and circulate harmlessly in the oil until they are removed when the oil is drained. As a result the Exxon Aviation Oil EE produces significantly lower ring zone deposits, varnish and sludge than a straight mineral oil.

Product Specifications:

U.S. Military approved against SAE J1899, which replaced MIL-L-22851D. Appropriate viscosity grades are approved for Pratt & Whitney (Spec. No. 1183), Teledyne Continental Motors (MHS-24), and Textron Lycoming (Spec. No. 301F) engines and recommended for Curtis-Wright, Franklin, and Rolls-Royce engines.

Exxon Aviation Oil Elite 20W-50

This SAE 20W-50 multigrade, semi-synthetic oil is recommended for all Teledyne Continental and Textron Lycoming engines.

Exxon Aviation Oil Elite 20W-50 oil contains the anti-wear / anti-scuffing additives required for some Lycoming engines.

Exxon Elite is a blend of synthetic and mineral-based oils (plus a highly effective additive package). Why a semi-synthetic? Our engineers determined that a fully synthetic oil may not have the solvency to handle the lead deposits that result from the use of leaded fuel. So they developed Exxon Elite as a semi-synthetic formulation that combines the best of both synthetics and conventional oils.

As a multigrade oil, it offers the flexibility to lubricate effectively over a wider range of temperatures than monograde oils. Compared to a monograde oil, a multigrade oil provides better cold-start protection and a stronger lubricant film at typical operating temperatures. Other benefits include lower oil consumption and better fuel economy. As a premium multigrade oil, Exxon Elite has all of these intrinsic advantages.

Product Specifications:

U.S. Military approved against SAE J 1899 (Replaces MIL-L-22851D). FAA AD 80-04-03-R2 par.b.1 (for more information see FAA Special Airworthiness Information Bulletin, No. NE-00-22).
